Montgolfière Aéro by Louis Vuitton
A nod to Louis Vuitton’s travel legacy
Ever dreamed of time travel in a hot-air balloon? Louis Vuitton brings that daydream to life with the whimsical-yet-technical Montgolfière Aéro. Shaped like a soaring balloon perched atop the tiniest LV trunk imaginable, it’s a nod to the Maison’s globetrotting legacy. Inside, a Swiss-crafted mechanical movement from L’Epée 1839 keeps time with an 8-day power reserve. On the outside? Monogram canvas, polished detailing, and unmistakable Vuitton charm. It’s a voyage in miniature.
Starfleet Machine by L’Epée x MB&F
An intergalactic spaceship
Bold, sculptural, and unapologetically sci-fi, the Starfleet Machine is what happens when horological heavyweights MB&F and L’Epée 1839 team up. This limited-edition table clock reimagines timekeeping through the lens of science fiction, drawing inspiration from iconic space stations like Star Trek's Deep Space Nine. This futuristic piece features a central dome displaying hours and minutes alongside seconds indicators that resemble laser cannons. Launched in 2014 to commemorate L’Epée's 175th anniversary, only 175 pieces were released in dark and light.
Atmos 568 by Jaeger-LeCoultre
Exuding neighbourhood charm
The Atmos 568, designed by Marc Newson for Jaeger-LeCoultre, reimagines the classic Atmos clock with a contemporary twist. Encased in a rounded cube of Baccarat crystal, its mechanism operates without batteries, powered instead by temperature and atmospheric pressure changes. This table clock also features a minimalist dial with blue Arabic numerals and hands, exuding innovation and elegance that make it a standout piece in any space.
Orb by L’Epée x MB&F
Shape-shifting timepiece
Another collaboration between L’Epée 1839 and MB&F that makes our list is the Orb. It gets its name from its spherical shape, which opens via four petal-like “elytra” – beetle-inspired wing covers – to reveal an intricate mechanical movement. This manually wound clock also features an eight-day power reserve and an hour-striking mechanism that chimes the actual hour, which can be activated or silenced as desired. Whether it’s sitting closed like a mysterious orb or open like a blooming sculpture, this piece is equal parts kinetic art and timekeeping precision.
